How we hand-pour a candle, from wax to gold seal
There’s a particular kind of quiet that comes from making something with your hands. For us it starts early, with a table full of empty vessels and a pot of soy wax slowly warming.
Choosing the wax and scent
We use natural soy wax because it burns cleaner and slower than paraffin, and holds our fragrance blends beautifully. Each scent is mixed in small test batches until it feels exactly right — never overpowering, always warm.
A candle should feel like a small pause in the day — that’s the whole point.
The pour, and the long wait
Once blended, we hand-pour each candle and set the wick by hand. Then comes the hardest part: waiting. Every candle cures for several days so it sets evenly and burns without tunnelling.
Finally, we trim each wick, add our label, and wrap the candle with a ribbon and a small gold seal — the same finish we’ve used since the very first order.
